McKenzie took the game and then some with a 64-19 win last week over Gilchrist. The success made it back-to-back wins for McKenzie.
Meanwhile, Jewell couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were completely outmatched, falling 6-44 to Powers.
McKenzie's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Jewell's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if McKenzie's success rolls on or if Jewell are able to steal their positive momentum.
