The Liberty County Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Community Christian Chargers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Liberty County simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Community Christian 65-29 at home. With that victory, Liberty County brought their scoring average up to 53 points per game.
Kashon Chambers was the offensive standout of the match as he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Liberty County's points. Jason Walker was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Liberty County and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Community Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty County will square off against Vernon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Vernon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 504th, while Liberty County is ranked 97th). Community Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wakulla Christian School at 6:30 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
