The Brewbaker Tech Rams were the 57-56 winner over the Selma Saints when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Brewbaker Tech fell to Selma 62-58. Brewbaker Tech has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Brewbaker Tech lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Kevin Honer. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Honer is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler Dixon, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
Brewbaker Tech's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Selma, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brewbaker Tech and Park Crossing will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Park Crossing focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for Selma, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Demopolis at 7:00 p.m. Demopolis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
