The Glades Day Gators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Pahokee at home and fell 52-25. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Glades Day in their matchups with Pahokee: they've now lost three in a row.
Pahokee found their leader in underclassman Javian Jones, who scored 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least 25% of Pahokee's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquavis McCloud, who scored 11 points.
Glades Day has yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 0-3 record. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.0 points per game. As for Pahokee, their victory bumped their record up to 1-3.
Glades Day will stay at home for another game and welcome Moore Haven at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Pahokee will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Clewiston at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. Clewiston and Pahokee are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
