The Hammond Tornadoes suffered their biggest loss since December 27, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 73-50 walloping at the hands of St. Paul. It was the first time this season that Hammond let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Hammond still got an impressive performance from Justin Harland, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Cartez Williams, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Hammond's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-10. As for St. Paul's, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-7.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Slidell the next time they take the court. St. Paul's will host Slidell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Hammond will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
