Milan has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will take on the Britton Deerfield Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Milan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 79th, while Britton Deerfield is ranked 19th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 58-18, which was the final score in Milan's tilt against Tecumseh on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Milan in their matchups with Tecumseh: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Britton Deerfield put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 42-41 victory over Summerfield.
It was another big night for Logan Shiels, who scored 19 points along with 8 rebounds. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Brayden Shiels was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 12 rebounds and 5 blocks.
Dundee's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Milan's loss dropped theirs to 2-1.
Milan skirted past Britton Deerfield 60-58 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Milan since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
