The Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 55-39 to Annville-Cleona.
Despite the loss, Shenandoah Valley still got an impressive performance from John Silvestre, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brady Najda, who scored 9 points.
Shenandoah Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Annville-Cleona, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shenandoah Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hamburg at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Annville-Cleona, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Upper Dauphin Area at 7:30 p.m.
