North Stokes is 2-8 against South Stokes since June of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Sauras at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
North Stokes' pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on East Wilkes with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Vikings have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Elijah Whicker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

North Stokes kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Wilkes only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, South Stokes won against Starmount on Wednesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Sauras beat the Rams by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sauras.
Like North Stokes, South Stokes also got a great game from a two-way player: Samuel Kidd. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Kidd has become a key player for South Stokes: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two hits, but 5-9 otherwise. Kidd was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, South Stokes let Reid Tilley and Nick Turner run wild. Tilley scored three runs while going 1-for-3, while Turner scored three runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave Turner a new career-high.
South Stokes' victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for North Stokes, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-6.
