Basketball Recap: Chaminade's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Chaminade had won four straight games and Jonas Thurman did his part to make it five on Thursday. The Chaminade Eagles walked away with a 57-50 victory over the Linfield Christian Lions thanks in part to Thurman, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards. What's more, he also racked up five assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julius Brower, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 18 points along with six assists and five boards. Brower is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last three games he's played. Daniel Crawford was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Chaminade's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Linfield Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Chaminade wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-53 victory against Laguna Creek on the 27th. As for Linfield Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-47 defeat against St. Louis on the 27th.
