It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Spencer County Bears ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They walked away with a 90-78 win over Oldham County. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Spencer County was led to victory by Camden Cox and Luke Erhardt. Cox scored 26 points along with 5 assists, while Erhardt scored 35 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Erhardt has scored at least 25% of Spencer County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Armstrong, who scored 11 points.
Spencer County's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Oldham County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Spencer County will square off against Taylor County at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Oldham County, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Hardin at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
