The Rowe-Clark Masai Lions suffered their closest loss yet this season on Thursday. They fell just short of Comer by a score of 62-60. Rowe-Clark has struggled against Comer recently, as their contest on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Rowe-Clark lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Arnez Jones, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Jones hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Marcus Fossett, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Rowe-Clark has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Comer, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
Rowe-Clark will head out on the road to square off against The Noble Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Noble Academy is on a five-game streak of home losses, Rowe-Clark an 11-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Comer will take on Bulls College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
