Prescott can attribute much of their success to Noah Hernandez, who had 16 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Hernandez has posted over his last 11 matches. Evan Haberen also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mica Mountain had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Knights as they made off with a 3-0 win.
The final score came out to 25-9, 25-10, 25-17.
Prescott better keep an eye on Samuel Widmer. He was instrumental in Mica Mountain's win, getting 13 digs and three assists. Widmer has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times he's played.
Mica Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-9 record this season. As for Prescott, their victory bumped their record up to 16-13.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: Prescott has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Mica Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
