When it comes to explaining why Canyon Crest Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jacques Godard. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Godard scored a full 45.8% of Canyon Crest Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Leon Chen was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Canyon Crest Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Scripps Ranch, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Canyon Crest Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Sage Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Sage Creek's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Scripps Ranch, they will head out on the road to face off against Escondido at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
