Landry-Walker had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 62-54 win over Slidell.
Jaden Hookfin and Jereme Landor certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Hookfin scored 14 points, while Landor scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micaiah Birdlow, who scored 6 points.
Landry-Walker's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Slidell, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Landry-Walker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Slidell will head out on the road to face off against West Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
