The Russell Red Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Fairland Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Russell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
Russell's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Expression Prep Academy with a sharp 15-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Jayden Frasure made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Russell got a massive performance out of Dawson Wada, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Wada has become a key player for the Red Devils: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Grayson Kiser also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Russell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Fairland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-3 to Valley.
Fairland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Fleming, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Cole Brown was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Fairland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Russell, their record now sits at 4-2.
Russell couldn't quite get it done against Fairland when the teams last played back in May of 2023 as they fell 9-6. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
