Timberlake may have come out ahead in their last game, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. They will take on Pond Creek-Hunter in each of the teams' third playoff contest on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Timberlake skips in on three wins and Pond Creek-Hunter on 12.
The Tigers earned some more postseason success in their matchup last Friday. They took their matchup against Southwest Covenant 40-26.
Meanwhile, Pond Creek-Hunter kept a clean sheet against Covington-Douglas. Pond Creek-Hunter put a hurting on Covington-Douglas to the tune of 48 to nothing. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36 to nothing.
The Tigers came up short against the Panthers the last time the two teams met in September, falling 46-38. Can the Tigers avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll soon find out.
