Football Recap: Moody Extends Winning Streak to Four

Moody had won three straight games and Le'Kamren Meadows did his part to make it four on Friday. The Blue Devils skirted past the Helena Huskies 31-28 for which the team can thank Meadows, who rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Moody also relied on Meadows, who's 46-yard boot wound up being the difference in the game.

Moody's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Helena's side was Cam Mallory, who picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Moody's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Helena, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moody will face off against Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last. As for Helena, they are taking a road trip to challenge Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies will be up against the Yellow Jackets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.4 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
