The Worland Warriors are ranked highly in their home state, and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Scottsbluff Bearcats. Worland fell 48-38 to Scottsbluff. Worland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Scottsbluff's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keon Delgado led the charge by scoring 11 points along with 8 rebounds. Nate Kelley was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals.
Worland's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Scottsbluff, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Worland's road trip will continue as they head out to face Torrington at 10:30 a.m. on December 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Torrington is ranked 43rd, while Worland is ranked 23rd). As for Scottsbluff, they will face off against Cody at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
