Despite their loss, Ridgeland-Hardeeville saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Poncie Capers, who scored 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Jabien Harris, who scored 14 points.
Even though they lost, Ridgeland-Hardeeville were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Allendale-Fairfax's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They fell to Calhoun County 59-53. Allendale-Fairfax has struggled against Calhoun County recently, as their match on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-3. As for Allendale-Fairfax, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
