Even though the North Posey Vikings have not done well against the Tecumseh Braves recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. North Posey rang in the new year with a 62-49 win over Tecumseh. This was payback for North Posey, who suffered a 48-45 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Alyssa Heath was her usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-6 from deep and dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Elle jo Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
