It was a good run, but The Kingman Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Garden Plain by a score of 28-25. Kingman was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Garden Plain apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Gage Lee was a one-man wrecking crew for Garden Plain as he rushed for 279 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Lee was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards.
Kingman's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Garden Plain, their win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-1.
Kingman will take on Halstead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Garden Plain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
