The Triangle Math & Science Tigers can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Woods Charter 67-27 at home. The victory was nothing new for Triangle Math & Science as they're now sitting on four straight.
Triangle Math & Science had a senior duo take command as Leanna Nohs scored 23 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds and Samrita Sriram scored 22 points along with five steals. Nohs is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. Yashitha Vanamala was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caroline Mitchell, who scored 13 points. That was a full 48.1% of Woods Charter's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Wesley Oliver, who scored nine points.
Triangle Math & Science has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Woods Charter, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triangle Math & Science will take on Ascend Leadership at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ascend Leadership comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Woods Charter, they will be playing at home against Clover Garden School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Clover Garden School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday.
