With a playoff win on the line, Summit Academy rose to the challenge on Thursday. They really took it to the Brooklyn Community Arts & Media Lions for the full four quarters, racking up an 87-51 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Summit Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Rodriguez, who posted 31 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Dimarco Dixon, who put up 25 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Summit Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Summit Academy pushed their record up to 25-5 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.9 points. As for Brooklyn Community Arts & Media, they moved to 17-8 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Summit Academy will challenge Baruch College at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Baruch College will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Summit Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Brooklyn Community Arts & Media does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
