It was a good run, but the Fivay Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 52-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cypress Creek. Fivay was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Coyotes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2021.
Fivay's loss came despite strong showings from Naimah Mota and Malia Shuler. Mota dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Shuler dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Cypress Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Deslynn Nickell out in front who scored 18 points along with five blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Carinne Washington, who scored 17 points.
Fivay's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Cypress Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

As for Cypress Creek, they will head out on the road to take on the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
