The Valley Vista Monsoon waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 77-46 victory over Maricopa. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Valley Vista has managed all season.
Valley Vista had a senior duo take command as Trevor Currington almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine steals and Nate Cosio scored 20 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cosio has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Moorehead, who scored 13 points.
Valley Vista's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Maricopa, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.
Valley Vista and the Dragons will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Maricopa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
