Baseball Game Preview: Milano Eagles vs. Somerville Yeguas

For the second straight game, Milano will face off against Somerville. The Eagles will welcome the Yeguas at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Milano's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Somerville has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, Milano made easy work of Somerville and carried off a 9-1 win. Considering the Eagles have won ten matchups by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kellson Miller made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Milano: the team is undefeated when he allows at most three hits, but 7-8-1 otherwise. Miller was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andres Ruelas, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one triple and one RBI. Daniel Frei was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Milano kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Milano is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8-1 record this season.
