The Moorestown Quakers suffered their closest loss since December 21, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Burlington Township by a score of 57-54. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Moorestown of the 66-54 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Leading Burlington Township to victory were Aaron Ferguson and Irving Singletary. Ferguson scored 13 points along with five assists and three steals, while Singletary scored 17 points along with five rebounds. It was the first time this season that Singletary scored 15 or more points. Ian Walker was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Moorestown's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7. As for Burlington Township, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
Moorestown will be playing in front of their home fans against Holy Cross on Monday. As for Burlington Township, they will head out on the road to face off against Medford Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Medford Tech has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 513 points over their last seven games.
