Several Chieftains players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Omar Rodarte, who posted 14 points and six rebounds. Rodarte has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Jay Jaramillo also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.
Even though they lost, Clairemont smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.
Leading Kearny to victory were Arthur Minton and Cameron Ackerman. Minton went 9-for-15 from beyond the arc to rack up 30 points and eight boards, while Ackerman went 6-for-13 en route to 13 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
