The Kane Wolves will take on the Otto-Eldred Terrors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Kane's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Otto-Eldred has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Kane's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Smethport. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolves considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Phinn Chamberlain made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He is becoming a predictor of Kane's success: when he allows at most three hits the team is 4-2 (and 2-6 when he doesn't). Chamberlain was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eric Novosel, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Kane is 2-1 when Novosel posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Otto-Eldred posted their closest win since April 10th on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Cameron County 9-7. The victory continues a trend for the Terrors in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won three in a row.
Macaibe Splain was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Michael Sheeler, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Otto-Eldred always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Kane's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Otto-Eldred, their victory bumped their record up to 3-13.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Kane has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Otto-Eldred struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Kane couldn't quite finish off Otto-Eldred in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 and fell 3-1. Will the Wolves have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
