The Orangewood Christian Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 70-58 to Lake Mary Prep. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Orangewood Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Roby McClarnon. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Shrode, who scored ten points.
Orangewood Christian's defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Lake Mary Prep, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orangewood Christian will play host again and welcome Trinity Christian Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Lake Mary Prep, Lake Mary Prep and Winter Springs will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Winter Springs' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
