Harlingen has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Hanna Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Harlingen pushed their score all the way to 32 two Fridays ago, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Weslaco by a score of 35-32.
Despite the loss, Harlingen got a solid performance out of Randy Morales, who rushed for 244 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, Hanna's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by San Benito at home and fell 53-0. While losing is never fun, Hanna can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 898th, while San Benito is ranked 290th).
Harlingen's loss two Fridays ago dropped their record down to 4-2. Hanna has been struggling this season, as they've lost five of their first six matches, which gives them a 1-5 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Harlingen against Hanna when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 41-0 win. Does Harlingen have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hanna turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
