Logan Heinlein made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over six innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Nate Stiffler and George Weimer did most of the damage at the plate: Stiffler went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base, while Weimer scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three RBI gave Stiffler a new career-high.
Conemaugh Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ferndale only posted an OBP of .217.
Meanwhile, West Shamokin lost 15-5 to Highlands on Friday.
West Shamokin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jude Olinger, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Max Long was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
West Shamokin's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Conemaugh Valley, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
West Shamokin's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Conemaugh Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .369. It's a different story for West Shamokin, though, as they've only averaged .239. Will they be able to contain Conemaugh Valley's hitters?
