It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Idalou Wildcats had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 64-18 victory over Alpine. The win was familiar territory for Idalou who now have seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Alpine still got an impressive performance from Logan Smith, who rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown.
Idalou has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 8-4 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.8 points per game. As for Alpine, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Idalou has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Canadian at 2:00 p.m. on November 24th. Canadian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Alpine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
