Even though the Tempe Prep Knights scored an imposing 62 points on Wednesday, the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves still came out on top. St. Augustine Catholic managed a 67-62 victory over Tempe Prep. The victory was nothing new for St. Augustine Catholic as they're now sitting on three straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Augustine Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andres Betancourt, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Peter Dogbegah, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds.
St. Augustine Catholic's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Tempe Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Augustine Catholic will take on The Gregory School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gregory School is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Tempe Prep, they will play host again and welcome Horizon Honors, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Horizon Honors focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday.
