Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gig Harbor). They blew past the Mount Tahoma T-Birds 68-24 on Wednesday. Given the Tides' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the T-Birds are ranked 333rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gig Harbor's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5. As for Mount Tahoma, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gig Harbor will host Timberline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gig Harbor is facing Timberline at the right time seeing as Timberline is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Mount Tahoma, they will welcome Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
