The Pryor Tigers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 87-23 loss at the hands of Booker T. Washington. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pryor has scored all season.
Mason Matulis was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals for Booker T. Washington. That's the first time this season that Matulis pulled down eight or more rebounds. Joc Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Pryor's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Booker T. Washington, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Pryor will be playing at home against Claremore at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Claremore is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Booker T. Washington, they will head out on the road to challenge Tahlequah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tahlequah will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Booker T. Washington is ranked 11th).
