Olivia Jones made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Roos, who went 4-for-5 with three doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Clark, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Blue Ridge hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 6-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Fisher never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past Fieldcrest 12-0.
Not much got past Kierstyn Murphy, who gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Fieldcrest off the board.
On the hitting side, Naomi Dickey was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four runs and two stolen bases. Leah Graves was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Blue Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Fisher, their win bumped their record up to 10-14.
Blue Ridge came up short against Fisher in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, falling 8-4. Will the Knights have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
