Basketball Game Preview: Hills Academy Knights vs. Arlington Christian

The Hills Academy Knights will challenge Arlington Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hills Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Arlington Christian likes a good challenge.

Hills Academy is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Academe of the Oaks: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Hills Academy blew Academe of the Oaks out of the water with a 69-12 final score. With the Knights ahead 46-5 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Hills Academy relied on the efforts of Adrian Campbell, who posted 24 points, and Matthew Jackson, who had 17 points. Campbell's afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Isaiah Thrasher was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, after a string of 12 wins dating back to last season, Arlington Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of East Paulding by a score of 53-50. The matchup marked Arlington Christian's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hills Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Arlington Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.
