The Nunamiut Amaguq's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 69-60 to Scammon Bay. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (58), Nunamiut still had to take the loss.
Several Amaguq players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kevin Gordon, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Hugo, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Scammon Bay got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Josiah Sundown out in front who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Sundown hasn't dropped below 16 points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Kaganak, who scored 16 points.
Nunamiut's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Scammon Bay, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.
Nunamiut does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Scammon Bay also has no future games currently scheduled.
