A Season-Best  Effort from  Jayden Evans Leads West Johnston over Smithfield-Selma
 West Johnston was led to victory by  Jayden Evans, who turned in his biggest game of the season  on Friday. Evans wasn't messing around, forcing a fumble and making 16 total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging   an  interception. The  match was his third straight with nine or   more total tackles dating back to last season.
 The  victory was  the third in a row for West Johnston, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Evans will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on C.B. Aycock on Thursday.

Langston Came Up Big in South Johnston's  42-20  Win
  Holt Langston was a major factor in South Johnston's  victory over Southern Wayne on Friday. Langston was unstoppable, rushing for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.
 South Johnston now  has a winning record of 4-3. They and Hunt are set to duel  on Friday.

Jerimiah Peart Goes Supernova in Fike Loss
 While Fike might've come up empty  on Friday,  Jerimiah Peart wasn't going down without a fight. Peart turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 141 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
 Fike moved to 4-3 with that  defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Peart and Fike will head out to  challenge East Wake  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.

Jamari Giles Turns in Another Game with at Least Seven  Total Tackles
  Jamari Giles continued his hot streak  on Friday by dropping his ninth-straight game (dating back to last season) with  at least seven  total tackles. He picked up  a  sack and made 13 total tackles (7.0 for loss).
 For the season,  Giles  has averaged 11.6 total tackles per game  and for the season has 4 sacks. He's  made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year,  he was only averaging 2.57  total tackles per game.

Grantham Posts Huge Game in  32-12  Victory
  Antwain Grantham continued his hot streak  on Friday by dropping his 14th-straight game (dating back to last season) with  at least five  total tackles. He made 14 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 The  win for C.B. Aycock keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Grantham and C.B. Aycock will be playing at home against West Johnston  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
