Oglethorpe County had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the Social Circle Redskins and fell 37-6. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.
Social Circle can attribute much of their success to Remi Farmer, who rushed for 62 yards on only five carries, and also threw for 116 yards on only 11 passes. Those 62 rushing yards gave Farmer a new career-high.
Coming up, Oglethorpe County will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on East Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Social Circle, they will head out to challenge Warren County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
