Jefferson is 1-9 against Canutillo since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Silver Foxes will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Jefferson managed to slip by El Paso the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Silver Foxes came up short against the Tigers on Thursday, falling 23-10. Even though they lost, the Silver Foxes' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Jefferson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Cabral, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Cabral has become a key player for the Silver Foxes: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-12 otherwise. Christian Baez was another, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Canutillo waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 13-6 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.
Aaron Alvarado was incredible, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Melendez, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Canutillo pushed their record up to 15-6-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Jefferson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Jefferson has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Canutillo struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Jefferson suffered a grim 16-6 defeat to Canutillo in their previous meeting on April 2nd. Will the Silver Foxes have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
