There's no place like home for Newington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past the Platt Panthers 18-6 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Nor'easters in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Newington pushed their record up to 6-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Platt, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
