The Alleghany Trojans won the last time they faced the Elkin Buckin' Elks, and things went their way on Friday too. Alleghany enjoyed a cozy 52-38 victory over Elkin. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Alleghany.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alleghany to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colby Crouse, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Lemasters, who scored ten points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Alleghany's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Elkin, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.
Alleghany will be playing at home against Starmount at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Starmount and Alleghany are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Elkin will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Mount Airy at 8:00 p.m. on February 13th. The timing is sure in Mount Airy's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Elkin has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.
