Central Connecticut III West recap November 13, 2013
Rocky Hill extended the longest winning streak in Central Connecticut III West this week by beating Berlin, 41-13. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Terriers.
Weaver fell to Northwest Catholic 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Chris Young was a passing and rushing force as Rocky Hill bested the Redcoats.
Christian Flynn threw for 147 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 9-15 with 1 interception.
Grant Nieves was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 171 yards on 11 carries as David Coyne's team topped the Beavers. Teammate Young added to the ground attack by rushing for 173 yards.
Northwest Catholic's Flynn and Chris McLaughlin have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Flynn has thrown for 1,940 yards this season, while McLaughlin has 27 catches for 555 yards. Young from the Terriers leads the league in rushing with 1,530 yards.
Michael Tyler's team's Flynn is within 60 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Platt.
Bloomfield and East Catholic played the most contested game in Central Connecticut III West this week, with Bloomfield eventually emerging with a 13-8 victory.
