The White Oak Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the West Carteret Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. White Oak is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Last Friday, White Oak beat the Wildcats 41-34.
It was another big night for Denniyah Tanner, who scored 18 points along with four steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of White Oak's points. Zamarah Rawls was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 56 points the game before, West Carteret were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of Croatan by a score of 27-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Carteret has scored all season.
White Oak pushed their record up to 6-9 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for West Carteret, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7.
White Oak couldn't quite finish off the Patriots when the teams last played back in January and fell 55-52. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of West Carteret's Skyler Setzer, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine steals. Now that White Oak knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
