Narrows and Fort Chiswell squared off in some playoff action  on Tuesday, but Narrows had to settle for second. They took  an  89-84 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Chiswell Pioneers. One positive for the Green Waves, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
 Several Green Waves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Carter Holmes, who  dropped  a double-double with 22 points and ten  rebounds. Holmes is becoming a predictor of Narrows' success: when he posts  at  least eight  boards the team is 9-4 (and 5-7 when he doesn't).  Sam Mcglothlin was another key player,  putting up 15  points along with seven  assists and seven  rebounds.
 Fort Chiswell found their leader in freshman  Owen Jackson, who  almost  dropped  a double-double with 36 points and nine  boards. Jackson's big performance that  evening made it seven games in a row in which  he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Eli Armbrister, who  went 5-for-12  en route to 14  points and six  assists.
Narrows' loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 14-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 70.7 points over those games. As for Fort Chiswell, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record  this season.
 Narrows does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Chiswell, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  74-42  defeat against George Wythe on the 28th.
