A well-balanced attack led the Lititz Christian Eagles over Varsity Opponent in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Lititz Christian blew the out of the water with a 59-18 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-7.
Lititz Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eddie Vega, who scored eight points along with seven assists and three steals. Donnie Rogers was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Lititz Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season. As for Varsity Opponent, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 373-1334-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lititz Christian will face off against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Varsity Opponent is on the road again on Monday and plays the Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on February 5th. Hopefully Appling Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Friday.
