The Lewiston Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 56-37 fall against Lourdes Central Catholic. Lewiston was down 52-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the loss, Lewiston still got an impressive performance from Everett Bohling, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Brady Bledsaw was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six assists and three steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lourdes Central Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nolan Beccard, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Beccard has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Tesarek, who scored nine points.
Lewiston's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.
Lewiston will take on Pawnee City at TBD on Tuesday. Hopefully Pawnee City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday. Lourdes Central Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Elmwood-Murdock at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th.
