Richland dropped down to 4-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They were beaten by the Morton Panthers 51-7. Having soared to a lofty 35  points in the game before, the Rangers couldn't push the score so high this time.
As for Morton,  the  victory  got them back to even at 3-3. That looming  51-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this  season.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Morton to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Domingo Deering, who rushed for 107 yards and one  touchdown on only 12 carries. Deering's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Avonte Reese, who picked up 104 receiving yards and one  score.
